Homeless and poverty stricken people have affected me deeply. So much so that I have been gathering together a group of people in my community to do what we can to provide shelter, food and other needs. We are working on a project that involves several churches providing a room and food 24 hours a day. The available room rotates from week to week or month to month. Eventually we want to have a designated shelter in our area. There are lots of people who are not homeless who are trying to bring attention to your circumstances and help out in whatever way we can. You matter to us and I am asking you to keep up your faith. Shame on us for not being there for you. We really want this program to succeed so I am asking for your help. What do you think will work for you? What are some of your immediate needs? I don't mean to sound like some lame-o Christian loser spreading more happy crap to make you feel good...We really want to help. We are located in Minnesota, U.S.
