Hey Foggy,
what makes you uncomfortable about living in a home?? N what makes you want to go back out on the streets???? Is it because you feel safer????
Keeping in mind that after being "free" for 25 years i suppose living in the confines of 4 walls would be a bit overwhelming at times - do you have any support or anybody you can talk to at all - if not jump on here and vent.
good luck hey and hang in there
What you're saying foggy is all too common here in London .. some streeties decide to ride the system of rehabilitation and eventually get a place of their own and then for a number of reasons come back onto the streets again.
Loneliness .. isolation .. boredom .. abandonment .. financial struggles. These are a few of the reasons that they give for coming back out. I say reasons because sometimes it can be excuses that they look for to justify what they have done. Many of them having left their accommodation to return to the streets regret having done so .. and start the re-hab process all over again.
I personally know some people that have done this many times .. as many as six or seven times is not uncommon. As one guy put it recently:
.." It's a case of a life without a home, or a home without a life " ..
Good luck foggy ..

Hey Foggy, its a common theme from many ex streeties. It's very hard to get used to being housed especially after such a long time outside. Guess you have to do what works for you, but at least give it a fair go, stick with it and things may become easier.:)
