Is Slim Sexy???T-rouble 07-29-2007, 10:25 PM HEy guys and gals, do you think being thin is sexy???Or do you think someone with a bit of meat on them is hotter??? T-rouble beautifuly_broken 10-28-2007, 07:40 AM I think that it is personal preference. Personally its the eyes that I notice first...lol... then the rest. I also believe that if you are truly connected with the person that appearence doesn't matter. But, then again be healthy.... not to skinny not too big..lol... then again indecisive is my middle name! purpleprincess 10-28-2007, 10:08 PM oooo tough question - i spose everybody has different tastes n opinions - and the media doesnt help with that - all super slim models no wonder young girls etc strive for perfection - the perfect looks, the perfect body - the list goes on - have eating disorders etc etc so yes could make a great debate culdnt it Konstantěn 10-29-2007, 02:34 AM I would put it, Anorexic: Not sexy Slim: Neutral. Athletic: Mild plus Over weight: Neutral Obese: Moderate minus. Morbidly obese: Not-sexy+++ Once long ago, before I became a nurse, I fell slightly in love with a cute redhead librarian, who was fat as a house. I saw her once being really sweet, almost doting, with some children, she had this warm and big sisterly attitude to them, even though they were total strangers to her. And I liked her. The fact she was fat wasn't really an issue. Anyway, I asked her out, turns out she had a wonderful husband, 2 children and a third due in a weeks time. :D. She's a lot skinnier these days :D Oh well, Konstantin fudge 10-29-2007, 03:13 PM good one konstantin just as well her hubby didn't hear you im slim built and i get embarrassed when people say oh your skinny whats wrong with you and stuff like that when they wouldn't say oh your fat to someone who is overweight because it is offensive i say whatever body you are comfortable with will make you feel sexy within and that will be percieved by onlookers and admirers tera 10-29-2007, 08:44 PM i picked up a magazine free from the hairdressers hopeing to find a new hair cut....but it was just full of fasion pics, from shows/catwalks...ect. my other half found it on the table and fliped through....and he exact words were "wow, walking dead are models now...?"- refuring to their over skiny and ill appearence... . curves are better.yayyyy purpleprincess 10-30-2007, 12:50 PM yes Tera i would have to agree with your partner - they look so skeletal and unwell. I have a 10 year old daughter who thinks she is fat !!!! I often worry that she will fall victim to an eating disorder due to the media etc etc although i tell her how beautiful she is on a daily basis. my son is 12 and is a solid boy - and i also tell him how handsome he is - one thing i have tried to install in both my children is self esteem - confidence and self love - those things i didnt have as a child - do i now ??????? ummmmm sumtimes. so bring back the curves i say yeee haaaaaaa lol Magenta 10-30-2007, 03:13 PM For me it comes down to the personality of the person and yes 'eyes' and 'smile' get me first.. I personally am tending to say women especially look better with a natural curve such as girls from the playboy hahaha compared to the sticks on next top model...(not being prejudice)...but we need to improve the 'healthy' image for women not the size '0' image. I have been attracted to both thin, toned and slightly tubby men. So its not a priority for me. But in the end its the person your goin to be with and if they feel good you will feel good about them. goldfish 11-02-2007, 06:01 AM i dont know if curves = sexy, just as i don't think slim = sexy i think all the adverts that play on curves mite might ppl without them feel bad, just as fashion which says slim is the best way to be makes ppl feel bad i think as long as ur a healthy weight it doesnt matter hobo 11-05-2007, 02:29 PM if we talking about physicality take away the soul, just a piece of flesh. thin=sexy no any weight = sexy no to be sexy permanently is be unique and proud of it. sk8r_rat 11-06-2007, 12:36 PM I've never thought about physical features in selecting a partner, never. I can appreciate somebody I think is "attractive" , but it has absolutely no meaning to me in a relationship. On thing I really like about the streets was the acceptance of everybody no matter what they look like or are dressed, it's all about what's inside. Probably explains why none of the girls in this town like me... Because I'm so called not 'popular' enough to 'hang' with them hahaha. I would rather wait and find a decent girl. :) Just my 2 cents worth. tera 11-14-2007, 08:40 AM I've never thought about physical features in selecting a partner, never. Is there any skinny people in America anymore?:( This thread is ridiculous. Why did I find this topic on a homeless forum anyways? Konstantěn 06-10-2008, 06:31 PM Are you people from America? when did being FAT and OBESE become sexy? Is there any skinny people in America anymore? No I'm not from America, I don't think anyone said being fat was sexy, allthough I'm too zonked on Pethadine (medical procedure) right now to read back. What we agreed upon (I think) was that weight wasn't the most important thing in a relationship. Levin. Not4ever58 10-11-2008, 07:18 AM Yeah its a preference. Many of us brothas like to see ample hips and booty. But many women still feel like that is unattractive, so they think we are wierd if we enjoy looking at them. The fashion magazines, feminists and gays got this country thinking that theres only ONE slim way to be SEXY. And thats a heapa BS in my book. Reese 10-13-2008, 02:20 PM funny i asked Pabs (fiance) what he thought was worse... someone really skinny or someone really fat... which one would be less sexy then the other? see i think being fat is still better then being anorexic. i just think seeing someones ribs & bones would be worse then having more to cuddle! but i do honestly believe someones personality weighs more then their appearance. people need to overcome their own insecurities about themselves because they are lovable - they are just invisible when they are miserable. i've met plenty of fat ppl that are gorgeous when they smile and have that twinkle in their eye of feeling good & happy - u really dont notice the rest. Tainted Jasmine 10-13-2008, 05:46 PM Man this question always gets me riled up. I'm an aussie size 6 and everyone always gives me grief for it. What they don't take into account is that I am also just shy of five feet. When I was in foster care People ie social workers were always asking me questions about my diet. Which is crazy when I eat like a freaking horse. I get comments all the time, like being called Ana and being told that other women hate me because I am so skinny. This is a real hit on your self esteem even when they are joking. After being an escort you learn a lot about what different people see as sexy. And to be serious it is diverse. I won't even go into some of the kinky shit that can turn a client on. lol. Sexy is seen as different by everyone. Reese 10-20-2008, 04:52 PM Jasmine this is always gonna be a tricky question because beauty is in the eye of the beholder and also in ur own perception of urself. i got down to 45kgs last year and i didnt think i was that bad looking but everyone was sayin i was too skinny. now i'm like 58kgs and i dont really like it but whoever chooses to comment will say that its much better or great. as for women hating someone for being so skinny that is their problem... but if ur too skinny ppl automatically assume u have a drug problem and that is not often entirely wrong. no doubt i was way too skinny due to the substance abuse for that period of time :o) i used to eat A LOT ... when i had an appetite ;o) but nothing can compensate for dehydration, dance marathons and 2 or 3 day benders... not even a lions share of meals. as for the kinky stuff that turns clients on - well that stuff is always interesting to find out but u cant help think ppl are seriously messed up when u hear too much of it. i think guys can be pretty warped and escorts cop all sorts... i'd lose my appetite too... frikken perverts. no offence on u but i've seen and heard a bit and think some men are just putrid :o| Tainted Jasmine 10-23-2008, 05:54 PM A lot of the reason I'm so named skinny is that my mum was japanese. Gotta love them asian genetics. When you see alot of the underbelly of human nature it does tend to leave your senses rather jaded as a result. And I can tell you now some of the johns had some seriously sick perversions! Not4ever58 10-31-2008, 10:46 AM But i often wonder what conditions us to prefer a certain physical preference as sexually appealing. I grew up with this fixation on large female hips and buttocks, while most guys seem to prefer thinner leaner figures which happens to be our national generic standard it seems. I think society as a whole tends to percieve what is difficult as beautiful. I mean in the past like ancient rome or even regency england. Curves were the thing. Food was scarce unless you had money. So a nice lush figure was a sign of status. In the same way today slim is difficult to attain in this world of obesity and heart disease. So it is seen as beautiful and sexy. An achievment and a status symbol. Steel Butterfly 11-08-2008, 11:52 PM I think society as a whole tends to percieve what is difficult as beautiful. I think that there are types of people - both male and female - who always tend to go after what they can't have, or what is difficult to obtain. The grass is always greener on the other side, right? :p:) Take care, Steel Butterfly NoAmbition 11-21-2008, 01:40 PM Skinny with no real curves is bad Skinny with a little curves is good. Regular with curves is fantastic. Really curvy is bad. Severely curvy is.. welll...... |
