Stripping onlineT-rouble 07-29-2007, 10:30 PM Is stripping online a good thing or bad thing??? What if I am making money and it is supporting me??? T-rouble ScottHughes 09-05-2007, 11:48 AM What do you mean by stripping online? Do you mean taking off your clothes in front of a webcam? Nobody can tell you whether its a good thing or a bad thing. It depends on your personal values. If the money you get is worth doing the stripping, then it's all good. Just make sure it's not something that it's not something that makes you feel shame so much that it will haunt you for the rest of your life. Overall, it depends on how comfortable you are stripping and how much you need the money. revcore 02-12-2008, 11:17 PM Is stripping online a good thing or bad thing??? What if I am making money and it is supporting me??? T-rouble Interesting question T-rouble. I suppose it all depends on who your audience is. Stripping online is a safe and discreet way as opposed to stripping in a club and running the risk of getting raped or even worse, Murdered. May I ask why you are an online stripper? and what made you get into this line of work? To summarise without knowing all of the facts, I guess it's okay as long as your audience is over 18 and you are happy stripping online. Money comes a distant second to personal happiness in my opinion so as long as you are happy and those around you don't mind then yeah.....It's okay.:) sk8r_rat 02-13-2008, 02:16 PM Hi T-rouble, Hope you're good, thanks for your post. I think that, like ScottHughes and revcore said, it really comes down to how you feel about it. Stripping is not something that I would ever pursue personally, I feel as if I would be degrading myself. But I'm not you, and what you do of course has no impact on me whatsoever, so I have abosolutely no judgement and can't and shouldn't tell you whether what you're doing is right or wrong. I also feel as if there's a grey area somewhere between good and bad, that not everything is right or wrong and it depends entirely on your personal morals. Unless for example you have a partner or family member who is against your activities, and this disrupts your relationship with that person, then it doesn't affect anyone except you and nobody has the right to cast judgement. I think you need to look inside yourself and see how you really feel about it. It's not like you're having paid sex with anybody, but there's also other options for money. Have you had any trauma in your life or low self esteem that could be influencing your decision for work? Have you known others who have stripped online and asked about their experiences? Do you think it would affect your relationship with anybody? Is it more convienient for you and more money than you'd get with another job? Is it something you enjoy and feel comfortable with? Is it safe (like people can't get our address from your computer, I don't know how that works)? Can you quit whenever? Do you have somebody you can talk with if you have any issues with work? Do you think it's something you want to do and are comfortable with, or do you have reservations or think it's related to something in the past? It's up to you, no judgement here, but thanks tons for posting it's a good question. Hope you post back and let us know what you're thinking, I don't expect you at all to answer to any of those questions!!! :) Sk8r girl. fudge 02-18-2008, 07:01 PM i agree with sk8r if it is not hurting anyone then there is no harm done. the question is do you think it is ok.....how do you feel after you have performed... we all do what is necessary to survive...don't be ashamed if this is your only option if it is damaging your self-esteem and self worth then stop doing it right now....only your conscience can tell you if its right for you cheers Olivia 02-19-2008, 06:51 PM I think it's ok as long as you're ok with it and don't feel degraded or anything. I worked as a prostitute while I was on the streets and it was ok. I didn't like it, but I didn't feel degraded. It was more the cold, the boredom and the desperation that got to me. And the loneliness. Stripping online is something I've considered but I don't know how to go about it. I'd love to be able to make money in such a laidback way. |
