Hi there,
My name is Carol and I am a producer at Insight, SBS Television. Insight is a one-hour current affairs forum hosted by Jenny Brockie.
In a few weeks time, we are putting together a forum looking at the issue of homelessness in Australia.
We are looking for people who are willing to share their stories with us. How did you come to be homeless? What are the challenges you face on a day-to day basis? How do others view you? What can the Government do to help you? Is it just about more beds at night?
We are particularly looking for the faces of homelessness the community rarely see - families, former professionals and businesspeople, young people.
We are also looking for people who quite suddenly found themselves homeless through no fault of their own.
We will be including people from Government, academics and service providers, however the bulk of the show will hopefully made up of people who are homeless, or who have been homeless in the past.
