my brother on the streets.

hi for about a year my brother has been on the streets,getting passed from onhostal to another,more resently he has been beaten up,he used to own his own buisness went through colledge,got children,but had a brake down,endid up in y.m.c.a.,he seams very confused,not getting his benifit,thats why no one will take him,had him medicaly assesed but they say he is ok,but he isnt,i have asked other places to look at him,but they say he needs refering from a doctor,but as far as doctors concerned he is ok,ijust dont know what to do now,anyone got any suggestions.thanks

Keep in contact with him is the most important thing. You may not know how big of a deal that is but having someone, especially family is a massive deal for him even if you can't 'fix it'.

So move now off fixing it and focus on just being friends with your brother, being patient with him and most importantly listening to him. When all is said and done... your goal through everything should be to remain friends, to be a positive person in his life and to stay in contact with him as a brother... as a friend.
