"Children's advocates agree that the murders are committed by police, members of the death squads and the former military, as well as by the hired guns of the wealthy elites."
"I only saw three murdered (homeless) children between 1995 and the beginning of 2004," says one missionary who works with homeless children and asked that her name not be used. "Since Feb. 29, I have seen or heard of over 150 murders of street children and have personally witnessed the attacks on more than a dozen occasions."
Story Here:

"The terror, insecurity and misery being placed upon these children, whose lives are already far more difficult and painful than any child should be forced to endure, is now at an unprecedented level. There is no one for them to turn to for protection or help except for people like me, and organizations such as mine, who are in reality powerless to do anything real to stop this."

Any society that kills it's street kids is one fucked up community.

I tell you there would be trouble if these kids got their hands on firearms.

 Don't they "cull" kids in Brazil and Cuba too?? If you saw the documentary on the United Nations Children's Rights you'd spin. I threw up after it, I just can't believe that they too get away with it! Sometimes, I realise just how "lucky" and "safe" we are compared to other countries. Still, Australia is capable of so much more..(as well as the other countries).

These things are HORRIFIC, and people HAVE to know about it. It's a VERY bold and upsetting issue- but not enough people know! As comforting as ignorance is, how can anybody NOT care?

Love, Light and Strength, K

It is truly tragic. :(

I don't think societies realise how much damage they do to themselves when they do things like this. At least for their sake I sorta hope that's the reason.
